Brand Product Upload

The brand catalog is created automatically by Exchange when the system detects new or updated catalog data files. Only users with 'Account Manager' user role are permitted to upload and manage these catalog files. Find detailed specifications and requirements for these files in the Technical Data File SpecificationsSupport and the GoAnywhere - File Types Supported articles.
- Products (.csv, .xls, or .xlsx) -- filename must be products_brand.csv
- Features (.csv, .xls, or .xlsx)-- filename must be features_brand.csv
Note: 'brand' within the filename should be replaced with your specific brand name.
How to Upload Product Files

Elastic Exchange requires brand Account Managers to use GoAnywhere FTP (file transfer protocol) in order to upload the required catalog files. As part of Exchange registration and onboarding, brand Account Managers should have received access credentials and instructions via email.
Step 1: Login to GoAnywhere
If you haven't logged in yet, please refer to the Getting Started with GoAnywhere article for more information.
Step 2: Go to the Right Spot
Upon successful login, you will land in the "/Home" file directory:
Navigate to the appropriate file folder to upload your files according to the table below:
folder | file(s) |
---|---|
/ (Home)>data>inbound |
|
/ (Home)>images>inbound |
Step 3: Upload Files
Two ways to upload files:
- Click 'Upload' to find and upload files via File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac)
- Drag & Drop files directly into the blank/white space of the browser window
Note:
Make sure you upload the appropriate files into the appropriate 'inbound' folder.
Why?
The Elastic Exchange product creation tool was designed to scan both the 'data/inbound' and 'images/inbound' directories every 15 minutes in search of new (or updated) files. When it finds them, it kicks into action to create (or apply changes to) the brands products.
Review your product files in the 'processed' folders
The processed folder allows you to view the most recent file that has been uploaded to your brand's catalog. This is helpful in the event you'd like to download a processed file, make any necessary changes to it and re-upload the file. Please note that you must treat this updated file as a new document and upload it to the correct /inbound/ directory, according to the table in Step 2 above.
